A lot of attention has been given to improving the leading of all our public worship services. We have the ushers to welcome us at the entrance and also to help collect our tithes and offerings. We train our ushers to minister hospitality to those who are new to our worship services. They are also trained to be more effective in collecting offerings – to do so speedily, in a spirit of faith and also without missing people out. They are geared up to collect offerings for a congregation of over 1000 within the time taken to sing one hymn. Next, we have those who lead in worship. They are trained to use the microphones correctly and to allow the worship services to flow smoothly without the repetition of too many words. All our leaders come early so that they are spiritually prepared to lead in our singing, and in our liturgy. We also have a small team of readers. We have asked all our readers to be well-prepared in their readings and also to use the microphone properly so that the readings can be heard clearly. more
