All Saints’ Anglican Academy was launched in September 2006, as an
extension of the All Saints’ Cathedral’s ministry and contribution to
our community in the area of Christian Education.
The focus of this education is the acquisition of Godly wisdom and
training in godly character, in preparation for adult life as part of a
family, in a work place, and the wider society.
We use an English medium Bible-based curriculum that caters for students
from kindergarten to grade 12 level. BM and Chinese language classes are
also taught as an integral part of the school program. Students are
provided with an individualised learning program that emphasises on
character-building and the Word of God, training the children to think
well, act responsibly and live wisely. We are working towards
integrating this curriculum with our national curriculum to fit in with
the requirements as set by the Ministry of Education.
The Academy is situated on the 5th & 6th floor of
Wisma Anglican, next to All Saints’ Cathedral, and currently consists of
93 students, 9 teaching/supervisory staff and 5 part-time teachers. Our
present facilities include 4 learning centres able to accommodate 30
students each, 4 teaching classrooms, 1 library, 1 assembly hall, 2
general entrance halls, 1 project room, 1 staff room and 2 offices. We
also have the use of the field and basketball court in the church
compound for our PE and sports activities.
We
are in the process of applying for a licence from the education
department to operate as a private educational institution.
